Moeen Atef
Moeen holds a Bachelors Degree in Mass Media and Communication, with major in Broadcasting. He started his journey producing TV content and independent short films after his film studies in Prague.
Moeen started a career as a freelance assistant producer then as a director with various broadcasting stations with a wide spectrum of content. Later on, he became a producer for popular TV shows and platforms such as Master Chef - Arabian version. Throughout his career, Moeen got into animated series productions as a Producer of kids animated series for Abu Dhabi media.
Moeen gained a good track record in TV Productions from pre-production to post-production with leading names in Arab and International media like BBC, BLOMBERG AFRICA, CHANNEL 2 DENMARK AND ALSO CHANNEL 2 SWEEDEN. This has given him the opportunity to work with Bollywood film productions on filming in his homeland Egypt.
After his long experience working from concept creation to final delivery within the industry on different platforms like TV shows, game shows, talk shows, animation, documentaries and TVC, Moeen felt that this is the time for him to create and produce his own concepts through video art and visual art with an eye to manipulate moving picture to explore different creative approaches. His first film as Co Director "sea wash" was qualified in shnit film festival and also was the opening film for the video art section in ZOOM-ZBLIŻENIA film festival in Poland.
The film was selected to participate in an exhibition "Europako Mugak/Fronteras de Europa”,"Borders of Europe" in Spain/Bilbao. With this exhibition, “5W” magazine and KCD-ONGD stop in the different borders of the Mediterranean that refugees must go through. It does this from the point of view of 5 photographers and 5 journalists that are located in five different coordinates.
At the mean time, Moeen is working as a creative producer for a long documentary Tiny Souls that is in post-production phase now. Tiny Souls is a documentary film that was filmed for 4 years following 3 kids in Zaatari refuge camp in Jordan.
