Sebastian Linder
Tobias Rehm, Silke Dietrich and Sebastian Linder went into the forest in search of solitude. Thus inspired, the three Munich design students wanted to talk about tranquility, restlessness and reclusiveness. To this end they experimented with every aspect of film, from the development of the story through the portrayal of the characters to the design of the music. And thus, during the realisation of this project, they learned more about themselves than they were aware of at the start.

Dr Hans Schonger has followed in his father’s footsteps and is an expert in one of the fringe fields of science: leaf-fall research. During his field-work in the forest he comes across an unusual creature, the timid “Bigfoot”, who is on the run. The sensitive scientist gains the trust of this far-travelled individual, despite their being two seekers worlds apart –expressed in the film by the use of a split screen. A study of a unique friendship that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers.
