After leaving prison, Mariusz and his son attempt to adapt to reality, interweaving the habits of jail with the struggle of everyday life. Contrary to popular opinion their relantionship is filled with reflection and love. The protagonists' sensitivity contrasts with the heartless reality that leaves a scar on former prisoners excluding them from being a valuable members of the society.

During the production of a play based on Aristophanes’ “Birds” three artist friends need to take responsibility for the roles they play in their social microcosm. Someone regrets leaving somebody. Someone seduces the director of the play, because they believe in polyamory. Someone thinks that the war has never ended, and one must never surrender. Someone else claims that it’s all about how you fall, and you should know how to drop. In the meantime, an unusual post-hipster melodrama unfolds.

Venice Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Prix UIP of the European Film Academy. She won Best European Short at Raindance Film Festival in London. Her films are mainly comedy-dramas inspired by the French New Wave. Her last production "Beauty” was a widely awarded experimental film with elements of theatre. She was a screenwriter for animated films "The Mystery of Mount Malakka", "American Dream" - Jantar 2008, Młodzi i Film Festival in Koszalin. An alumna of Berlinale Talents.read more

Shekhar is a disabled and autistic screenwriter/filmmaker of British Asian – Indian heritage. A trained actor, Shekhar started out behind the camera as a screenwriter and director and trained on the job under Rolf De Heer. His multi-award-winning short films have been screened at festivals worldwide, including Tribeca, New York, Toronto, Bilbao, Durban and many more. During the first lockdown, Shekhar's debut feature 'Running With Crutches' self-shot had its World Premiere at the Adelaide Film Festival in October. Currently, he is in development on his second feature with Vertigo Productions Australia – 'Notes on Love', a comedy employing techniques developed during the making of the first feature. Shekhar's Feature Film Treatment for 'Caterpillar' was the Grand Prize-winner at the New York Screenplay Festival and was shortlisted for the Creative UK& Netflix Breakthrough initiative. Shekhar has remotely written/directed two Polish shorts, 'Struny' and 'Dyktator', with up-and-coming Polish Cinematographer Mateusz Golebiewski. Apart from film, Shekhar is also seeking to work as a director/writer in HETV Drama. He is currently developing a limited series political thriller with story editor Yvonne Grace. Entrenched in visual storytelling, Shekhar believes in story and screenplay.

She tells stories about human interconnections, coping with emotions and finding ones place in the world. She's fascinated by the visual aspect of film: light, color, composition. She tells simple stories using her original aesthetic.
