    Born in 1948 in Grajewo. Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Intermedia artist, performance artist, author and organiser of many artistic projects and events. Since 1979 Karwowski has been associated with performance art. Founder of Group “A” (1979). Currently co-operating, as artist and custodian, with the Szczecin-based OFFicyna Association.
