This film was made in a bomb shelter in Kyiv. Sketches were made during the last week in February when Kyiv was attacked. Families, mainly women, children and the elderly stayed together during each attack. The repetition of attacks is displayed in this film, showing how horrific and exhausting is this experience, even for those far from the front line. Thanks to the Internet we could understand that this invasion sought to erase us all.

Sasha documents the events and her feelings during the first days and months of the war in her country – Ukraine. Trying to distract herself, she plunges into her thoughts and memories. Because of the danger, she and her grandparents have to leave the city. In the village where they were evacuated, time loses its limits. The thoughts “When will the warmth come?” are constantly echoing in the girl’s head.

Born in Munich in 1994, she completed her bachelor thesis in theatre-, film- and media studies in Vienna. Since 2017, she has been studying directing at the University of Television and Film Munich and realizes fictional and documentary projects screened at international festivals. Since 2020 she has directed and produced films for the Architecture Museum of the Technical University of Munich.

He is a documentary director from Hamburg, Germany. After graduating in philosophy from King´s College London, he spent two years working in between Los Angeles, the Canadian Arctic, and Berlin – on augmented reality projects, and a cross-media documentary project about Inuit Youth. Currently, he pursues further studies in documentary directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. His work has been shown at festivals like Sundance, Tribeca, and Sheffield Doc Fest.
